Val started her career as a 7th and 8th-grade teacher at Nativity School of Worcester. This experience is integral to her project management philosophy and informs her creative practice as well.
She continued her work as an educator at the School Museum of Fine Arts as part of the Student Affairs team where she launched several exhibition series in partnership with Tufts University Identity Centers.
